B2A dominates Mambas Army in first round playoffs despite reported chemistry concerns
By Jonah
B2A comfortably advanced passed the first round of the UNO league playoffs, defeating Mamba Army 67-54, despite rumours of frustration between players on the roster.
B2A took control early and never looked back, holding a 20-point lead at one point, securing their spot in the semifinals.
After missing the last several weeks with undisclosed absent, B2A welcomed back its star player Prince, who couldn’t have returned at a better time.
Prince led all scorers with double-double, 20 point and 15 rebounds, including four three-pointers. His presence was felt on both ends of the court which was too much for the Mambas Army.
Meanwhile, rumors swirled around B2A's other star player, Hashi, who sources say has vocally expressed frustration regarding the performance from role players on B2A in recent weeks.
At least two reliable sources confirmed Hashi’s frustrations unanimously, but when questioned about it after their first round playoff win, Hashi denied the rumours to reporters.
"That’s false man,” said Hashi. “A lot of guys came in today and did their jobs, set the tone. AI, Lebz, Sticks, Sherwa, Dub, everybody set the tone today.”
“They do their job night in and night out. They spread the floor for us and whenever one of us draws two, we kick and they’re reliable shooters. So we believe in them just as much as they believe in us.”
Despite the rumours of off-court drama, Hashi dropped 15 points, two rebounds and connected on three triples on the night as the ball movement was humming for B2A.
Mambas Army, on the other hand, struggled throughout the game. Missing several key players, they appeared out of sync and couldn't find a rhythm against B2A’s defense.
Despite solid efforts from Marlow, who scored 15 points, and Chambers, who also added 15 points, Mambas Army couldn't close the gap.
The return of Prince ultimately proved too much, as B2A advanced to the next round of the playoffs. They’ll look to quiet down the concerns of chemistry issues circling around as they take on Bunch of No Names for a spot in the UNO league championship game.
