Relentless Takes Down NoCap in Close Week 6 Uno League Matchup
Week 6 of the Uno League brought fireworks as Relentless won, just barely. The score was 52-50 in a back-and-forth thriller that had all the intensity of a playoff matchup. With both teams now locked into a postseason competition, this tightly contested game wasn't just about the win, it was about setting the tone heading into the final stretch of the season.
From the jump, it was clear this wouldn't be just another regular-season clash. Both teams came out swinging, trading buckets and defensive stops like a chess match in overdrive. NoCap's Tallman Harry (Dwayne Harrison) continued his stellar season with 16 points, while MP exploded for 21 for Relentless, including five threes that kept the pressure on all night. Despite several momentum shifts, Relentless managed to stay composed down the stretch, handing NoCap a loss that felt personal and perhaps could foreshadow the playoffs.
After the game, Relentless guard Melo made it clear they're locked in for the postseason. "Honestly it doesn't matter who it is," he said when asked about their biggest playoff threat. "Any game we come out ready to play — doesn't matter what jersey they wearing, what shoes they got on." On the other end, NoCap's Cory had one team circled when asked if they were eyeing any specific opponents for the playoffs. "Obviously we want revenge," he said bluntly, referring to the team that just handed them an L.
Relentless was led by MP's 21 points (3 2PM, 5 3PM), 12 rebounds, and a block, while Melo added 10 points and 2 blocks of his own. TTK Nunnz chipped in 10 points and 5 boards, helping control the paint. NoCap saw a strong effort from Clydas (16 points on 6 FGM, 2 triples) and Cory (10 points, 3 rebounds), but it wasn't enough. Despite falling to 2-2, NoCap remains in the playoff hunt, and now with a hunger more than ever heading into the playoffs and final weeks.
