VSO stays undefeated, Relentless falters in semi finals clash

VSO kept their perfect record intact as they secured a tight 69-64 victory over Relentless to reach the UNO League FInals.
Despite the hype surrounding Relentless, who had stirred up controversy the previous week by “throwing their Vs down” as a jab towards VSO, the antics proved to be pointless.
"They threw their V's down, and now they're in the dirt,” said Stevo. “You can’t talk like that and come out and die. It don’t make no sense.”
VSO's disciplined play now puts them in a position to finish the season undefeated.
Relentless, who showed flashes of brilliance throughout the season, found themselves outmatched against a VSO squad that simply played smarter and more cohesive basketball.
“I think our weakness was we had a couple players that lacked team (aspect in) basketball,” said Otoo. “We tried to do the best we can week in and week out.”
Kevin Otoo added 17 points and Jay Jay led Relentless with 21 points, but it wasn't enough as the lack of consistent team play proved costly.
Relentless started the game playing zone but VSO got out to a strong shooting start which threw their gameplan all over the place.
RDogg led the charge with 14 points, while Stevo contributed 12 point, connecting on four triples. Evan also added 12 points, showing VSO's depth and versatility.
“We’re supposed to be in the finals. I wasn’t tripping about any of these games,” said RDogg. “All in all good team win… everybody played good.”
The top two-seeded teams in the UNO League will now meet in the finals with Bunch of Names seeking revenge against VSO after losing to them early in the season by a mere four points.
